Our team of senior account executives plays a pivotal role in developing these relationships and keeping them strong. Why should you join the Compuquip Cybersecurity family? The big reason is that it is a family. At Compuquip, you aren’t just an asset; you’re a part of a close-knit group of people who care about one another. This is why Compuquip provides not just competitive pay and 25% 401(k) matching, but full healthcare coverage, company-sponsored training and career development, and a monthly health stipend to encourage our people to stay in shape as well. When you’re a part of the Compuquip family, you’re a part of an organization that cares.
What Senior Account Executives Do:
The primary job responsibility of a senior account executive is to “develop and grow existing key named accounts.” But, how do you do this?
Some of the specific activities that a Compuquip Cybersecurity senior account executive will carry out to develop and grow client relationships include:
- Identifying and Exploring a List of New Potential Customers. Senior account executives will use marketing data to identify potential customers and reach out to them with some help from the sales team. Execs will guide the efforts of sales team members to help them reach sales goals.
- Performing Strategic Relationship Management at All Levels. Leveraging data from customer relationship management (CRM) software such as Salesforce, account executives will monitor customer relationship developments and proactively work to increase Compuquip’s reach in the cybersecurity industry.
- Getting Involved in Complex Deals and Decision Making Processes. Senior account executives will work with customers from day one—meaning they’ll be there to help negotiate and set up complex cybersecurity deals and guide customers through the decision-making process.
- Managing and Collaborating with Teams to Ensure Customer Satisfaction. Senior account executives will work with other teams in the organization to ensure that customers receive prompt, proactive, and powerful service. This includes working with engineering teams and outside vendors to deliver top-tier cybersecurity solutions to customers.
On top of this, senior account executives will be expected to track and report the status of their customer relationships by learning and using CRM software. To effectively guide clients through the solutions to their cybersecurity needs, account execs will also need to be able to understand and effectively present various cybersecurity solutions to people at all levels of an organization.
What We’re Looking for:
The senior account executive position is, naturally, a position that calls for someone with extensive experience in both account management and sales within the IT industry. Generally speaking, we’re looking for people with about five to seven years of experience in account management/sales in the IT industry—and experience in the cybersecurity industry specifically would be a huge plus.
Ideally, applicants should have experience working with multiple technology vendors—mainly because they’ll have to once they’re here! Compuquip works many different technology vendors so we can provide the best solution to a client’s cybersecurity needs.
Also, we’re looking for applicants who have established relationships with customers in the southeastern U.S. at all levels of different companies. An in-depth knowledge of the IT sales cycle is highly desirable—and is best proven by your track record of sales achievements.
Because collaboration is a core component of the job, we definitely want people who are strong, confident communicators who can identify issues quickly and create detailed solutions to customer problems. Part of this will, of course, require intimate knowledge of the cybersecurity industry—including common issues, best practices, and specific technologies.
Familiarity with the Salesforce CRM is definitely a plus since it’s our primary customer relationship management tool.
